Melissa studied Exercise Science and Health Promotion at the University of Kentucky and is certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association). In addition, Melissa is STOTT Pilates Mat certified, trained on reformer and ISP (Injuries and Special Populations). She is working toward her full Pilates certification giving her additional exercise variations and modifications on all types of equipment. Melissa is also CPR certified.

Her unique approach is guided by her variety of experiences in teaching and coaching. She has taught a multitude of group fitness classes and coached diverse groups of athletes. Although a one-on-one experience is more personalized, she has started FitCamp as a way to change more lives. Melissa infuses many of the Pilates principles of core strength, centering, rebalancing, and stabilizing into her routines. Even when working in groups Melissa has a way of maintaining that personal touch by adapting to each individual's needs.

Anna Whitlow

Anna is a senior at the University of Kentucky studying accounting. When not cramming numbers, Anna enjoys tackling, rucking and mauling on the pitch with her fellow ruggers on the University of Kentucky Rugby team while helping the newer girls learn the game as Captain. Anna also participates at Big Blue Crossfit and plays on an outdoor women’s rec soccer league during the fall season.  She is looking forward to bringing exciting events and rewards to all of the members at Achieving Bodies and in pushing members to reach their goals!
